Tao Peng is a Venture Partner based out of GGV Capital’s Beijing office.
During his three years as the President of Airbnb China, Tao vastly expanded the company’s China business by rebuilding the team and localizing the product. Prior to joining Airbnb, Tao has founded a number of companies in the travel space, including Breadtrip, a social app for recording and sharing trips, and CityHome, a management platform for short-terms rentals across China. Before founding Breadtrip, Tao co-founded the network security provider IntelliGuard and also worked as a management consultant for McKinsey.
Tao graduated from the University of Melbourne with Ph.D. in Computer Networks, and also holds a B.Eng. in Communication Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
