Lidong Wang is the Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for GGV Capital in China. Most recently he was senior manager for government development at Alibaba Group where he initiated and executed multiple projects in B2B e-commerce with government, associations, and relevant parties.
Prior to Alibaba, Lidong has more than 11 years’ experience at the Ministry of Commerce in China, including four years in a commercial diplomatic capacity in Germany, where he gained strong analytical and planning skills in public policy as well as broad networking with essential stakeholders. Lidong received a B.A. in German Literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University, an M.S. in Economics from Renmin University, and an M.S. in Public Administration from Tsinghua University.
