Jixun Foo

Managing Partner
Jixun Foo is a Managing Partner at GGV Capital Asia and joined the firm in 2006. He is consistently recognized among the top VCs in Asia and counts 15 of his investments as mega-unicorns or unicorns, including Boss Zhipin, Grab, Hello, Qunar/Ctrip, and Xpeng Motors. Jixun played critical roles in many key strategic mergers and acquisitions, such as those of Youku-Tudou (the first-ever multi-billion-dollar tech merger in China).

Jixun was previously a Director at Draper Fisher Jurvetson ePlanet Ventures, where he led investment efforts in Asian companies such as Baidu (NASDAQ: BIDU). Prior to DFJ ePlanet, Jixun headed up the Investment Group under the Finance & Investment Division of the National Science & Technology Board of Singapore (NSTB) and was previously an R&D project group leader at Hewlett Packard. Jixun graduated from the National University of Singapore with a First-Class Honors degree in Engineering and received an M.Sc. in Management of Technology from the university's Graduate School of Business.

Jixun has been recognized by Forbes China as one of the “Best Venture Capitalists” every year since 2006. He was also named as one of the Top 10 Venture Capitalists by Zero2IPO as well as "VC Professional of the Year" by the Asia Venture Capital Journal. He frequently appears on the global Forbes Midas list, including 2019-2020, and was recognized among the Top 100 Venture Capitalists by The New York Times/CB Insights in 2019.
